Dr. 𝓑𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻𝓵𝔂 𝓝𝓮𝓵𝓼𝓸𝓷, a mother of one and a native of Miami, FL. She received a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Masters degree in School Psychology from the Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. As a School Psychologist Trainee, she attended and received training from the Florida State University. After working within the public school system for several years as an educator and intervention specialist, it was there, she realized that restoring the family's structure and dynamics were also the key to increasing positive outcomes within children. At that moment, she began her clinical therapy journey. She has instructed several at-risk children and family groups within the inner-city. Currently, she provides therapy to individuals, couples, and families, as well as instructs a Domestic Violence and Anger Management group.
Recently, Beverly completed her Doctoral Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy at the Nova Southeastern University. Her research concentration was on domestic violence and couples therapy, entitled “The Elephant in the Therapeutic Room: Nelson’s R.E.A.C.T Professional Guideline for Working with Registered Interns in Private Practice Concerning Intimate Partner Violence”. Beverly’s research allowed for the development of the Nelson’s R.E.A.C.T Professional Guideline, for the utilization within training of therapists.
Also, she is the creator of @SouthFloridaTherapists & @SouthFloridaBlackTherapists networking platforms and founder of New Day Behavioral Health Center and Jenny’s House, LLC, an Assistant Living Facility in her mother’s honor.
